This general meeting is designed to provide local and regional governmental personnel with information on the Iowa Pavement Management Program (IPMP). The IPMP creates and maintains a pavement condition database and pavement management support tools for every public paved road in the state.
The focus of the workshop is on pavement condition data collected using automated distress data collection equipment and pavement management tools. The workshop will cover the distresses collected, distress data delivery, pavement management software (dTIMS), GIS tools, and additional features such as videologging.
The workshop will feature a new tool demo (Roadway Asset Management System) that the Iowa DOT will use to streamline the pavement history updates and consistency for local agencies. There will also be breakout sessions for dTIMS users and non-dTIMS users.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This event is designed for engineers, public works directors, consultants, planners, street superintendents,
or supervisors responsible for making pavement maintenance, rehabilitation, or reconstruction
decisions, and those who are responsible for developing a pavement management program.
