Event description

Description

Join the Crisis and Commitment Services Supervisor Team at one of our quarterly Involuntary Treatment Act trainings to learn more about the work of the Designated Crisis Responders, and the law that frames their investigations, evaluations and decision making.

In this training you will be given information about RCW 71.05/71.34 and what the law intended to accomplish. We will review the legal process for an individual being evaluated for involuntary behavioral health treatment, the DCR investigation, detention grounds, statutory timelines, and how to make a referral and write a detailed declaration.

These events are open to agencies that provides behavioral health treatment, private therapists, supportive housing staff, medical professionals working with individuals who experience behavioral heatlh emergencies, and many other providers that work with individuals who experience symptoms related to their behavioral health.

All classes are held at the Chinook Building, training room #123, on Main Level.
