An Invitation to St. Francisville
The Historical Society is excited to celebrate the inaugural “Invitation to St. Francisville” Saturday, March 20, 2021, from 7 to 10 pm. This event will take place at the West Feliciana Historical Society Museum and will feature the culinary creations of Restaurant 1796 with live music by Three Blind Mice. We invite you to join us in downtown St. Francisville for a swanky night of fun, music and fine dining.
The fundraising event, “Invitation to St. Francisville,” is named for the title of the 1980 painting by New Orleans artist George Dureau. This triptych painting of 8'x6' panels depicts the beauty of St. Francisville. The painting has recently been purchased by Kelly Tandy and Paul Cabiran. They have generously agreed to loan us the painting to be showcased at our fundraiser. Proceeds from the event will serve to maintain the beauty of West Feliciana as seen through the eyes of others.
