Investigating the 8 Limbs of Yoga
Join Nicolle NEILL Jensen for a 3-part series investigating the 8 limbs of yoga.
Yoga classes in todays world are often limited to the expression of asana, or physical postures, but
the philosophy of yoga is much more vast, including teachings on non-violence,
meditation, breath work, and the stilling of the mind.
In this class series, we will discuss the 8 limbs, chant the yoga sutras associated with them, and practice strong, stable asana rooted in alignment, anatomical integrity, and meditative awareness.
This class is appropriate for any level of practitioner though geared towards those with experience with yoga-asana, meditation, or both.
Nicolle NEILL Jensen has been studying yoga and meditation since 2004, and has studied the topic of the 8 limbs with her teachers Tias and Surya Little, Sanskrit Scholar Nicolai Bachman, Vedic Chant and Yoga Sutra teacher Sonia Nelson, and Meditation with Reggie Ray. She is a teacher, musician, facilitator and interdisciplinary artist originally from Winona, now living in Santa Fe NM. She travels the world sharing a love of yoga, meditation, music, and creativity through retreats, workshops, concerts, and classes.
