Event Details

Invest in Startups Expo builds relationships between early stage companies and aspiring investors. This is the place that allows EVERYONE to learn about investing, get to know entrepreneurs and listen to industry experts.

This will be an in-person and online event.

The event will be hosted by Angel Investor on CNBC's Make Me A Millionaire Inventor, Manny Fernandez and will feature guest speaker Jim Connor, angel investor and former President of Sand Hill Angels, one of the most active Angel groups in the world.

Jim Connor, Angel Investor, Sand Hill Angels

Manny Fernandez, Angel Investor

The discussion will be centered on basics of angel investing, risks and rewards and on ways to increase the probability of success by modifying the initial selection process, productively monitoring the progress, and monetizing their investment at the right point. In addition to the traditional topics of deal flow generation, deal screening, due diligence and investment terms, you will have the pleasure of engaging with angel investors, venture capitalists, legal representatives, and industry professionals. Jim's talk will cover additional FAQs from aspiring investors:

How do you know if a startup is worth investing in?

Does the team have the knowledge and tools to capitalize on the idea?

How do you build a strong portfolio of angel investments?

How does the JOBS Act affect your ability to invest in private equity offerings?
