INTRODUCTORY CLAY HANDBUILDING 1 day WORKSHOP

We are offering a 2.5 hour Introduction hand-building workshop for adults (18yrs and older), with Tribeca Clayworks at the Downtown Community Center.

In our fully equipped ceramic and art studios (pottery wheels, kilns, clay extruder, slab roller, all the tools you need and lots of clay and glazes), you will be instructed by our professional ceramic artists. On Wednesday (6:30-9pm) or Sunday afternoon (12:30-3:00) you will learn many of the hand-building skills that’s needed to make all kinds of functional and sculptural works of art.

If you want to keep your work you can glaze your ware (during the session) and for $15 (per piece) we will fire it in our kiln.

At the end of the class you can take a spin on the pottery wheel. Just be prepared to get dirty!!!
