If you always wanted to roll up your sleeves to have some fun working with clay, this is your opportunity. We are offering a 2.5 hour Introduction hand-building workshop for adults (18yrs and older), with Tribeca Clayworks at the Downtown Community Center.

In our fully equipped ceramic studio (pottery wheels, kilns, clay extruder, slab roller, all the tools you need and lots of clay), you will be instructed by our professional ceramic artists. On a Tuesday evening (6:30-9pm) or a Sunday afternoon (12-2:30) you will learn many of the hand-building skills that’s needed to make all kinds of functional and sculptural works of art.

If you want to keep your work you can glaze your ware (during the session) and for $15 we will fire it in our kiln.

At the end of the class you can take a spin on the pottery wheel. Just be prepared to get dirty!!!
