About this event
Interested in sculpting your own miniatures but not sure where to jump in? There are many programs out there that can help you get it done – but artists agree - nothing is quite like ZBrush in terms of power and flexibility.
In this class, we’ll cover the basics of building with shapes in ZBrush Core. We’ll start with a concept for a character and get right into blocking out the forms with primitives before deforming and blending shapes together and getting familiar with a few essential sculpting brushes.
By the end of the class, you’ll have sculpted your first digital character ready for 3D printing!
Things to bring:
- a laptop with the free trial of ZBrush or ZBrushCore installed
- a mouse or drawing tablet
IMPORTANT: The free trial of ZBrush is 14 days, after that it is $30/mo. We recommend you wait to install the trial version until the day of the class. ZBrush Core is $10/mo and includes most of the critical features of ZBrush. ZBrush Core Mini is too bare bones to be useful.
