Description

This workshop introduces basic techniques for use with a Wacom tablet and stylus.

Techniques

Attendees learn how to sketch, add colors, and apply simple shading and blending effects using a tablet.

Tools

Attendees use a 27” Apple iMac computer, Wacom Intuos Pro graphics tablet, and MediBang Paint, a free, easy-to-learn digital painting application.

Location

Design Studio, suite 305. From the library entrance, take the central elevator bank up to the 3rd floor. Walk to the right across the bridge and through the glass doorway. The Design Studio entrance is to your left.

Prerequisites

Attendees must be familiar with Apple Macintosh computers and possess ability to use a keyboard, mouse, and drawing skills equivalent to 3-6 months required.

Ages

We welcome teens and adults.

Registration

Registration is free to all NPL patrons. Space is limited, and all attendees must preregister. Attendees must have a current NPL card in good standing to access the computers and resources in the Slover Studios. Attendees who are not yet NPL patrons may obtain their free card at the Circulation Desk or Concierge Desk on the 1st floor. Visit the NPL website to learn more about library cards and borrowing.
