Event description

Description

This is a multi-session class: Tuesdays, November 28, December 5, 12, and 19, 7:30pm-9:00pm

Instructor: Rabbi Rachel Weiss

The Shabbat Morning service is the container for many of our life cycle celebrations, especially reading from the Torah and b'nai mitzvah. Learn the structure and content of the shabbat morning service, what the different sections of the service focus on, and deepen your experience of weekly prayer. This is perfect for parents whose children will become b'nai mitzvah in the coming years, adults who are considering b'nai mitzvah, those who are regular davenners and those who feel like they need to learn more before they pray.

About the Presenter: Rabbi Rachel Weiss is JRC’s rabbi. A graduate of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, Rabbi Weiss was an Aaron and Marjorie Ziegelman Scholar and the recipient of the Berger Prize in Practical Rabbinics. She holds a certificate in Congregational Life and has taken leadership roles within the Reconstructionist movement.
