Description

This training session is for members of the Northeastern University community only. You must have a Discovery account or have requested access to Discovery before attending this training.

This session is designed to get you up and running with a basic understanding of how to interact with the Discovery Cluster at Northeastern University. Topics covered include: an overview of the cluster system; connecting to the cluster and transferring data; using modules; submitting jobs to discovery; monitoring jobs; slurm commands and sample job scripts, and how to get further help. This session will cover a few basic Linux commands but we strongly encourage people to also take our more extensive “Introduction to Linux” session first if you're not familiar with Linux. Please make sure to bring your laptop and have a Discovery user account, as this is an active learning session with opportunities to practice.

If you are planning on attending online, make sure to select an online Ticket. We will provide you with instructions in an email on how to join online prior to the session.
