Description

Introduction to the 2019 Technovation Challenge: What it takes to be a coach (webinar)

The Technovation Challenge engages girls, ages 10-18, in an entrepreneurial technology challenge unlike any other. Teams of girls embark on a 12-week project-based curriculum that teaches them the fundamentals of entrepreneurial thinking behind formation of a business whose main product is a mobile app. The app ideas, developed by the individual teams, focus on solving a problem or offering a service important to their community.

Interested in leading a Technovation team but not sure what's involved to lead your team to success? Join us for this introductory webinar lead by two experienced Technovation coaches, Padmaja Bandaru from the Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School (AMSA) and David Petty of Brookline High School.

The webinar will bring you through the "intangibles" you and the teams will need for the Technovation Challenge, including:
-Recruiting
-Scheduling
-Device information
-Motivation & workload
-Mentor strategy
-Preparing for the pitch and submission

Interested in learning more after the webinar? Join us for on December 8th Kickoff and Ideation Workshop. Ideation is the foundation of entrepreneurial thinking and is also the foundation of your teams' response to the Technovation Challenge. Join students, teachers, and mentors for the official TechnovationMA Kickoff featuring Kasia Bytnerowicz, Creative Director, iZotope, who will talk about what how she develops award winning ideas and will take us through an ideation exercise.
