Everything you've ever wanted to know about sex positivity!

About this Event

The sex positive movement considers sexuality a positive aspect of human existence, with an open and welcoming attitude towards its many expressions and awareness of sexual health and consent. In this interactive talk, we will be exploring the different meanings of sex positivity, sex positive politics and allied movements, the practicalities of living a sex positive life and some possibilities for what the movement will look like in the future. Join us to find out more and get some sex positive inspo to expand your world!

After the talk there will be a social to have a drink and meet like-minded people.

Speakers

Kim Loliya

Kim is a coach, educator and consultant specialising in women’s sexuality, pleasure and empowerment. Kim's practitioner work at The Pleasure Institute includes working with trauma, consent, shame, relationship difficulties and much more. Through body-based, practical tools, Kim creates a gentle healing space for singles and couples and offers new avenues for intimacy, joy and transformation. Outside of her clinic, Kim works as a speaker, facilitator and curator in the U.K and internationally and is the editor of sex+, a sex positive magazine that shares real stories and rewrites narratives about sex and sexuality.

Phil Moore

Phil Moore is the co-editor of sex+ and Somatic Sex Educator working to serve, nurture and expand the sexual landscape of her clients. They have many years of experience of empowering others through mind and body in the areas of mindful, sensory based movement, clinical hypnotherapy and sensual touch. More recently, they have trained as a Sexological Bodyworker and is enjoying sharing the expanded vision and nurturing that this work offers. Phil runs workshops and builds community around consent, overcoming shame and exploring new possibilities in the sexuality field.

sex+ is an independent online + printed magazine that shares real stories and rewrites narratives about sex and sexuality. We're passionate about showcasing stories that are rarely seen in mainstream media and that includes supporting the voices of marginalised groups. We believe in community-building and curate events across London and internationally that promote empathy, vulnerability and self-love in safe spaces.
