This workshop will focus on mixing color, screen preparation and registration, printing, safety and clean up. This is a hands on classes where everyone will be up and printing right away. We will learn from each other how to identify printing problems, how to fix them, and how to think in printed layers. After taking this course, you will be ready to print on your own!

About the Instructor:
Sarah Pike is a painter turned printmaker whose work explores the sensory experience of place. She received a MFA from the Pennsylvanian Academy of the Fine Arts. Pike has made travel and working with artists outside of the United States an integral part of her studio practice. She has been an artist in residence at the Frans Masereel Center in Belgium and Steindruck München in Munich, and has developed work with the master printers at Keystone Editions in Berlin, Stein_Werk in Leipzig, and Steindruckerei of Ernst and Erika Hanke in Switzerland. Her work has been included in group and solo exhibitions in North America and Europe. Pike has taught studio art at the Community College of Vermont and printmaking at Bennington College. She is excited to become a part of the Makers Mill community and share her experience in screen printing.
