Do you know how much money your business is making? Do you keep accurate and reliable financial records for your business and use them to make key business decisions? Introduction to QuickBooks Pro will prepare you record and track your business's financial success.
This one-day workshop offers six hours of an INTRODUCTORY, computer and hands-on learning opportunity for small business. Boost the accuracy of your small business accounting. In this session you will learn to how to set up a company file, track cash flow, set up customers and vendors, track accounts payable and receivable, reconcile accounts, and create reports.
At the end of this learning experience, you will be able to:
¨ Set up your business in QuickBooks
¨ Write checks, pay bills, and run payroll
¨ Create reports to track profitability and where the money goes
*Laptop computers will be available for participants to use. Participants do not need to bring their own computers. Seating is limited.
Each year the U.S. Small Business Administration takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners through National Small Business Week. This year, University of Missouri Extension, Taney County SBTDC and the Taney County Partnership will host two events to celebrate Small Business Week in the Branson area engaging the small business community and helping local entrepreneurs start and manger their business successfully.
The Taney County Partnership will underwrite half of the workshop registration fee for the first 5 participants who are Taney County Residents and/or Taney County Businesses who sign up for this class.
Using science-based knowledge, University of Missouri Extension engages Missouri's citizens to understand change, solve problems and make informed decisions. MU Extension's Business Development Program exists to help Missouri’s entrepreneurs succeed in private enterprise and to promote Missouri's economic development. It performs this vital service through the Missouri Small Business and Technolgoy Development Centers; a network of business counselors located throughout the state.
The Missouri Small Business and Technology Development Centers is a partnership between the University of Missouri Extension and the Small Business Association. The MO SBTDC provides expert one-on-one, free and confidential business counseling, training and online resources. These services help prospective business owners locate the tools they need to grow and prosper successfully. SBTDC specialists use their expertise to help Missouri businesses with critical business development issues and provide guidance in addressing topics such as management, marketing and strategic planning. They can also provide capitalization information for new and existing businesses. The MO SBTDC provides business assessments that highlight opportunities for improvement. Additional assistance can provide plan of action to incorporate suggestion into the company’s daily operation.
The Taney County Partnership (TCP) is a public/private partnership focusing on the economic development efforts in Taney County, Missouri. The partnership is made up of Taney County, the incorporated cities and villages in the county, the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce (BLACC) and a dedicated group of business sector stakeholders. All member partners of the TCP have representation on the Board of Directors. The partnership is a board led organization and employs a Director of Business Development to implement and oversee the efforts of the TCP. The Director works out of an office at the BLACC and reports to the TCP Executive Committee.
