Introduction to Programming Using Scratch
Wed, April 26, 2017, 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM CDT
This five-week course introduces students to general programming concepts using the popular Scratch programming environment. Developed at MIT, Scratch uses a web interface and a ‘block’ structure to make putting programs together as easy as snapping build blocks together. Students will learn concepts such as variables, loops, if-then logic and others as they put together mini-projects.
Each class runs an hour long and is aimed at ages 8 – 12. Laptops are available but students may bring their own.
There is a four student minimum to start this class cycle.
