About this Event

What is Natural Language Processing, why it it interesting, and what are the state-of-the-art results in the field? We will learn how machine learning is applied to solve challenges linked to natural language.

About the speaker:

Morris Alper is a data scientist working at Pipl, inc., specializing in Natural Language Processing (NLP), and a master's student in computer science at Tel Aviv University. Originally from Palo Alto, California, Morris graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a B.Sc. in mathematics and linguistics and since then has been working as a NLP data scientist in an international environment. His interests include neural machine translation, NLP for under-resources languages, and functional programming.
