Description

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we're doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around us. Research has shown numerous benefits of practicing mindfulness, including enhanced immune function, increased happiness, improved attention and emotional regulation, protection against age-related DNA damage, and many others.

Laura Abbruzzese, MS, LPC, LCDC, from Enrichment Training and Counseling Solutions, will guide participants through an experiential 8-session course on the basics of mindfulness. The course sets participants on a path that is profoundly healing, as they learn to tend wisely to the body, to listen carefully to the heart, and to bring a compassionate understanding to the mind and our world.

Course begins on Monday, September 25th and will meet for 8 consecutive Mondays from 6:00-7:30 p.m., ending on November 14th.
