Introduction to Gender Diversity

Join us for "Introduction to Gender Diversity", a training session which follows a cultural humility model. Eliot Waddingham, Facilitator at Rainbow Health Ontario, will lead us through this interactive session. This session is open to staff who work in health care and public health.


Learning objectives:

- Develop familiarity with trans cultural language, LGBTQ+ terminology, and the social context of trans experiences

- Learn about gender, power, and the social determinants of health

- Identify and adapt to barriers to trans care

- Support the development of safer spaces and a welcoming health care environment

- Communicate with others in a trans-affirming way, and be able to educate others on basic trans care

- Receive support for next steps to encourage organizational change and improve your personal practice
