About this event
If you are just starting out on your fiction journey, don't know where to start, or even want to brush up on your fiction basics, then this seven-week course is for you.
We will cover:
- How to have ideas
- Plot
- Chracterisation
- The heart of your story
- Dialogue and detail
- Editing
On week seven you will have the opportunity to read or perform your work, giving you the time to work on your craft and connect with other creative writers.
You will use a range of exercises and texts to produce new work every week, building up to one complete short story of up to 1500 words. Each week you will be emailed a weekly pack unless you have pre-booked the full course, in which case you will receive the full pack prior to week one. Written feedback will be given on your final piece.
Reading recommendations will be sent out with the packs.
