Event description

Description

Trying to get more teens and adults into your makerspace? Host events around fashion hacking: cutting, modifying, stenciling, or repurposing secondhand clothing into new creations. You’ll learn no-sew and low-sew strategies for creating tote bags to dog toys, autograph pillows to one-of-a-kind t-shirts. Supplies provided.

Sponsored by the University of Michigan School of Information’s Making in Michigan Libraries Project in partnership with the Peter White Public Library. Funding made possible in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services, RE-05-15-0021-15.

3 free SCECH credits available to Michigan educators. Bring your PIC number with you!

This event will be offered in other locations around the state of Michigan throughout Spring/Summer 2017.
