Event description

Description

Trying to get more teens and adults into your makerspace? Host events around fashion hacking: cutting, modifying, stenciling, or repurposing secondhand clothing into new creations. Using thrifted clothing make the per-participant cost minimal. In this daylong workshop, you’ll learn no-sew and low-sew strategies for creating tote bags to dog toys, autograph pillows to one-of-a-kind t-shirts. Supplies provided.

Sponsored by the University of Michigan School of Information's Making in Michigan Libraries project in partnership with the Frankenmuth James E. Wickson District Library. Funding made possible in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services, RE-05-15-0021-15.

Lunch break approximately 12:15 - 1:15pm and is on your own. Many lunch places are within a five-minute walk of the library!
