Description

This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of espresso theory, preparation, as well as milk steaming for a variety of traditional espresso beverages. Students will learn modern espresso techniques including the intricacies of how pressure, grind size, brewing ratio, and time affect extraction and flavor.

Students will have the opportunity to work with our Blackstrap Espresso Blend and be walked through the entire process of dialing in and pulling consistent, delicious shots. The milk steaming session will focus on how to effectively aerate and texturize milk to create microfoam perfect for lattes and cappuccinos. The class concludes with an overview of espresso machine cleaning and maintenance.

Please note: Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled class time will result in a $50 fee per attendee.
