This class is deigned for someone with little to no electronics or soldering experience. After a basic introduction to the concepts related to an electronic circuit, and a description of each of the electrical components in the kit and their function, participants will build a simple clone of the memory game “Simon” using easy to solder through hole parts. Practice boards with both through hole and surface mount parts will be available for people looking for additional challenges. Participants will also get to keep a soldering iron and a small spool of solder to work on future projects.
Age: Any. Children under 14 must have a parent with them to work together (you'll count as 1 spot in the class).
Experience Level Required: None
Takeaway: Memory game kit that you assembled, soldering iron, solder.
