Introduction to Ecotherapy in the Anthropocene

Join Eco-therapist Kimberly Rose on Saturday July 5th for an in-person introductory workshop. Our time will include:

· Connecting to the nature of your body and Earth’s body

· Exploring through discussion the barriers and ethics of ecotherapy in the Anthropocene

· Reflecting through an exercise how ecotherapy takes in the long-view of who we are as humans

· Learning some basic research theories that support your rationale to implement ecotherapy into your practice

· Learning a few eco-therapeutic activities to add to your therapy work

· Coming out of sympathetic society and into safety and regulation in nature

· The importance of eco-literacy and eco-awareness

· Bringing your specific questions (theory, practice, clients…) to receive consultation. Your questions help everyone!

Who: Current, practicing therapists and coaches who are or desire to weave nature into your work

Colorado Ecotherapy Institute (CEI) offers ecotherapy services and nature therapy trainings to individuals and groups with the intention to promote personal, community, and planetary health. Rooted in both human and landscape ecology, CEI blends human development, attachment, nervous system science and mindfulness with natural history, kincentric awareness, and nature connection practices. Workshops, classes, and retreats are often offered in partnership with other local wellness organizations.
