About this event
The Eating Disorders that will be covered in this two hour webinar include Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorder (OSFED). The presenter will be Certified Eating Disorder Specialist Chantal Carter. It will include a slide show, video representations, and case studies to help the attendees better understand the diagnostic criteria of the varying disorders.
Objectives:
- Learn the diagnostic criteria for Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, and OSFED
- Differentiate between Unspecified Eating Disorder and Other Specified Feeding Eating Disorder
- Practice diagnostic impression through the presentation and discussion of case studies
Online Event Details: The event will be offered via the Zoom platform. You will receive an email with a reminder and the link to the online event the day before the webinar takes place. You will have access to the continuing education certificate, slideshow, and other pertinent materials via Dropbox following submission of your post event evaluation survey. As such, please register for the event with an email account that will allow you to access to these platforms/websites.
Refunds: Refunds are available when the attendee registration is canceled within a minimum of 24 hours before the start of the event. Refund is for ticket price only as Eventbrite fees are non-refundable. Tickets cannot be transferred.
Continuing Education: Two hours of continuing education will be granted in this live interactive webinar. The event will not be recorded or available unless another live event is scheduled. NWA Therapy has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6993. Programs that do not quality for NBCC credit are clearly identified. NWA Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

About the organizer
NWA Therapy is the private practice of Chantal Carter, Licensed Certified Social Worker, Licensed Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor, and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Chantal has been in her career as a social worker since May 2005, and opened this practice in August 2010. She started the NWA Eating Disorder Professionals in October 2016 to allow for networking, exchange of information, and to promote that patients with eating disorders get quality care in the Northwest Arkansas area.
NWA Therapy is recognized as an Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). This means all our events are NBCC approved! All our webinars are live interactive webinars, which means they typically count as in person events towards continuing education hours.
NWA Therapy expanded into a group practice in 2018 and now is able to serve individuals as young as four years old, adolescents, and adults.
