Event description

Description

Finding a balance between opportunities for open-ended, individually-meaningful work can be a real challenge! Design thinking is a strategy and a process for engaging students with real-world problems in a way that is both creatively flexible and academically challenging. We’ll look at how it provides a frame for grappling with local and global challenges.

Sponsored by the University of Michigan School of Information’s Making in Michigan Libraries Project in partnership with the Peter White Public Library. Funding made possible in part by the Institute for Museum and Library Services, RE-05-15-0021-15.

This event will be offered in other locations around the state of Michigan throughout Spring/Summer 2017.

3 free SCECH credits available to Michigan educators.
