Introduction to Cyber Attacks against Critical Infrastructures
Thu, May 11, 2017, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EDT
This non-technical awareness training session will provide security professionals, IT personnel, academic researchers, intelligence analysts, police investigators and corporate managers a strategic understanding of the cyber threats to critical infrastructures. In particular, the participants will learn through a series of case studies about various cyberattacks that have targeted critical infrastructures, including electrical power grids, oil and gas pipelines and water & wastewater treatment plants, among others. The participants will also gain insight into the modus operandi used by the different threat actors. Finally, the participants will learn how to leverage the unique characteristics of industrial control systems (ICS), and in particular of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, to uncover cyber attacks against critical infrastructures.
1 day training.
