Event description

Description

What could be simpler than a piece of string and a hook? The centuries-old art of crochet can be used to make everything from potholders and scarves, to lace and hyperbolic structures. Come to this series of three classes—which meets from 1:00-2:30 PM on Dec. 2, 9, and 16th in the MakerSpace—to get started with this simple, flexible craft. We’ll begin at the beginning with chains and single crochet to make a dishcloth. If time and interest permit, we’ll also touch on several other stitches, and discuss yarn, patterns, and how to keep going. Join us to learn a handcraft that is as simple—or complicated—as you desire, and that provides wellness and mental benefits to boot!
Space is limited to 6 participants for this class series. Online registration required.
