Making the most of your computer will help you get more organized, reduce clutter, and streamline your work experience. This workshop will help you get a handle on the essential functions of Microsoft Windows 10. We’ll review terminology and identify important parts of the desktop, start menu, file explorer, and more. We’ll cover keyboard shortcuts and organizational tips. We’ll also address web browsers and offer advice on security and maintenance options. This workshop will focus exclusively on Windows 10; Windows 8 and 7 and Mac OSX will not be covered. This workshop meets in Alumni Hall, B26.
By the end of this workshop, you will be able to
- Login and navigate through the most essential areas of Windows 10;
- Be able to use the file explorer to logically organize your files;
- Employ a number of shortcuts to expedite your common workflows;
- Manage your web browser and secure and maintain your computer.
