What is Companions for the Journey?
This once a month gathering is a time set aside to be still, to pray, and to make space for experiencing God through quieting the mind, teaching, and praying the scriptures (Lectio Divina).
Companions for the Journey” is an opportunity to explore spiritual practices with others who share the desire for more in living faith.
What we practice regularly can shape how we live spontaneously, and help us make connections between faith and real life. What we learn with a few traveling companions can inform how we relate to everyone that we meet on our journey. What we discover with God can transform how we see ourselves as Christ's person in the world.
Who Should Come to the Introductory Class?
The “Introduction Day” is for anyone who might be interested in exploring Companions for the Journey in the upcoming season that runs from September 2013 to May 2014
Attending the "Introduction Day" does not commit you to the season, but it is required for anyone who would like to participate in the Companions community.
The class is open to men and and women at any age or stage of life and faith who desire to learn to listen for the holy in life and explore Christian spiritual practices.
