Description

As part of 'Sign Language Week' in March, deafPLUS are pleased to launch a series of short half-day basic Introduction to BSL courses at the Ealing Centre on 24th May from 10.30am - 1.30pm.

What is the 'Introduction to BSL' course about?

In this course, you will learn to communicate with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) at beginner level on a range of topics using simple, everyday language.

What we will cover?

You will learn BSL communication skills at beginner level relating to the following topic areas such as:

- learning the fingerspelling alphabet
- greeting
people

- using numbers
- weather
- transport and getting around

How is the course delivered?

A Deaf BSL tutor will deliver the following practical exercises:

- demonstration
- pair/group work
- question and answers.

Are there any costs?

It costs £30 per person and includes digital handouts and a certificate of attendance.
