Summary: This four hour course will cover the basics in the coptic stitch bookbinding method and Suminagashi (Japanese art of Paper Marbling)
Description: In this four hour course students will learn how to marble paper using a traditional Japanese marbling method called Suminagashi and how to construct a coptic stitch book that they will take home with them.

- History of bookbinding and paper marbling
- Choosing materials
- Bookbinding tools
- Constructing books
- Making images using Suminagashi

About the Instructor:
Anthony Gaskins is an Atlanta resident that is in the apprenticeship program at Mass Collective. He has a BFA in Printmaking and Book Arts from The University of Georgia.

Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes, please notify us before ticket sales end about any transfer of puchase.
What is the refund policy?
We will refund any ticket requested for any reason up to a week before the course runs, after that point we can only give credit to a future course. If the class cannot run as scheduled, for whatever reason, purchaser will have the option of a full refund or credit towards the makeup course.
Courses must sell a minimum of three tickets to run. If a course cannot sell three tickets, the students who have signed up will have the option to (a) reschedule or (b) receive a full refund. This notification will be issued when ticket sales end, approximately 48 hours before the course.
