Event Description | Computational thinking is a method of problem-solving that helps computer scientists prepare problems for digital solutions. There is an array of tools–including Bee-Bot and Puzzlets–that can help introduce and reinforce computational thinking in early elementary students. This session will provide a background of the fundamentals of computational thinking and a deep dive into both Bee-Bot and Puzzlets, both of which are available to borrow in the STEAM Lending Library.
Background | Bee-Bot is a robot designed for use by young children. This colorful, easy-to-operate, and friendly little robot is a perfect tool for teaching sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun.
Puzzlets combines hands-on play with interactive gaming to form one seamless experience, engaging the mind and teaching the player new ways of thinking.
Skill Level | Beginner (no previous knowledge expected or needed)
