This event features exciting demos and presentations in the fields of engineering, science, technology, and sustainability!
This event is geared towards young women and gender expansive folks ages 5-15. We prioritize kids from historically underrepresented backgrounds, first-generation, and low-income people. However, all attendees are welcome regardless of their age or gender. Introduce a Girl is completely free!
Please note: attendees will be required to wear masks indoors.
Welcome, Girl Scouts!
The Introduce a Girl series has welcomed the Girl Scouts of Western Washington since the series began . We provide specially designed patches to any girl scout who attends the event.
(Note: Washington State law does not allow us to show the faces of minors without their express written permission first. All participants imaged on this page have signed our consent form. All attendees will be allowed in, whether or not they sign the form)

Founded at the University of Washington (UW) in January of 2016, Women in Chemical Engineering (WChE) is a rapidly growing organization that strives to: educate, empower, and advocate for women in chemical engineering, and their supporters, by providing an open space for dialogue, mentorship, collaboration, camaraderie, and skill building through professional development, community networking, and outreach to primary, secondary and post-secondary institutions.
