Intro to Woodworking

This class will give students knowledge of the use and safety practices for the core woodworking tools in our shop. Topics covered include properties of wood, milling rough-cut lumber, measuring and cutting techniques, gluing and clamping, as well as sanding and finishing. Participation in this class grants members access to the tools in the woodshop.
Attendees are required to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, and should refrain from wearing loose, dangling garments or jewelry. PPE will be provided by PCMS.
Maximum class size is 5 people. Slots will be filled on first come basis, pre-registration and pre-payment is required. Instructor reserves the right to cancel class if fewer than 2 participants enroll. Minimum age for this class is 18.
Cost: $50 for PCMS Members, $75 for Non-Members
