Description

WebEx is the University's solution for online meetings, training and web conferencing. WebEx is a secure online platform for sharing, recording, and posting meetings (and related files) with anyone you choose.

This workshop, which targets the university's instructional community, introduces the basics of creating and managing WebEx Meeting and Training Spaces. Participants will learn how to use the WebEx CirQlive integration within an ELMS course space. (This workshop will not explore use of WebEx via umd.webex.com.)

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to

  • Quick launch or Schedule a Meeting or Training (online classroom) session

  • Invite external participants in addition to the students enrolled in the ELMS course

  • Use WebEx features such as screen and application sharing during a classroom or meeting event

  • Record and share a session

  • Best practices for managing student interactions in the WebEx space will be discussed

Prerequisites: None

Note regarding location: Hosted in the new ESJ training center, room 1103. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) required if you would like a hands-on experience.
