About the Program
This course will give an overview of the organization and capabilities of the Sheriff's Crime Lab. We will discuss basic evidence collection and packaging, what each unit of the lab does, and legal issues faced by Crime Lab employees in their casework and court testimony.
About the Speaker
Cathy Chang has an Associate degree in Administration of Justice with a certificate in Forensic Technology from Grossmont College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from San Diego State University, and a Master of Forensic Sciences degree from National University. She has worked at the San Diego County Sheriff's Crime Lab since 2005 in the Forensic Biology Unit and have been a part of the Crime Scene Investigation team since 2010.
