What is to be expected during this workshop?

Accepted Answer

This is a space for people to slow down, to take a break from mental gymnastics, to feel even just 1% more into their sensations. I may lead you through a body centering practice, a full body scan, or a set of somatic movement phrases. It's a meeting to practice honoring our somas in community.

Did I need to be there for Part One to join Part Two?

No! You do not need any prior somatic training/work/experience.

Do I have to be standing/moving all the time to participate in these meetings?

Accepted Answer

No. The somatic practices I share are always able to be modified based on a person's accessibility needs.

Can I still come if I don't know what is happening or what to do?

Yes. Thank you to whatever lead you to this page right now. You come as you are and are accepted so - no matter your experience level with somatics. Let curiosity take hold.

Soma means body in wholeness. Soma is where are felt senses live.

Yes! I offer an intro to somatic practices every month at BAX studios. If you'd like to work with me 1-1, please email somasensationstudio@gmail.com for a consultation/beginning conversation. I will be continuously offering opportunities to practice somatics, creative & movement healing techniques.

I offer this workshop for free. However, financial appreciations are highly encouraged, as I am put a lot of work into my studies, practice, and coordination for events. My work is always sliding scale. Meaning pay what you can. There will be a place to scan my info day of.
