Intro to Soldering
Thu, March 30, 2017, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM EDT
Get your hands on a soldering iron and make something with electronics! Attendees will learn basic techniques for doing electronics soldering and how to use other associated tools. If you’ve never soldered before or could use a refresher on how to do it (or if you’re just looking for a fun class to take) this is the class for you!
There are two electronics kits that are provided for pratice in this class: a Learn to Solder Badge, and a Weevil Eye (or a glow in the dark bug). Each kit has LEDs and have batteries provided. Each attendee will have two working light-up creations by the end of the class, as well as an understanding of how soldering works and the different applications for it. If you want to get into jewelry or stained glass soldering, this would provide you with a good start for technique and what tools and materials are required.
