Tying Clinic Overview
South Shore Fly Casters is offering a fly tying clinic focused on saltwater fly tying, specifically patterns that are effective for striped bass in our local waters.
This clinic is appropriate for beginner fly tyers as well as experienced tyers with little or no experience tying larger, saltwater patterns.
The clinic will include 3 fly demonstrations from Marc Guy. Each participant will have the opportunity to tie each fly on their own with hands-on instruction and guidance from Marc.
Flies and materials list will be sent to each participant in advance of the clinic so that the necessary materials can be obtained.
All proceeds from this tying clinic will be donated to SSFC.

Instructor Bios
Marc is the president & co-founder of South Shore Fly Casters and an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer for the past 15+ years, spending countless hours on trout streams in Colorado, Wyoming, Vermont, and the Adirondacks. He learned to tie flies from Al Ritt, a prolific fly tier with whom he learned essential fundamentals of fly tying and fly design.
Since his move to Massachusetts, he has transitioned much of his efforts to saltwater fly fishing and tying, with a particular focus on striped bass and fly patterns for estuary and inshore fishing. Marc has mastered many classic saltwater flies and has also developed several of his own patterns that have yielded successful results.
