A series of four free workshops over one week at Water Orton Community Library, come to one, or more, or all!
This is the first workshop in this series of introductory workshops exploring the art of handmade paper making and printmaking tools & techniques. Led by artist Danielle Phelps these are fun and hands-on sessions where, through collaborative experimentation, participants will learn a variety of methods to recycle paper waste into new artworks.
During this workshop, you'll have the chance to experiment with different paper-making techniques and create your own unique pieces. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, so don't worry if you're new to paper-making!
In the series we’ll use techniques that will cover dipping, pouring, inclusions and embossing for a range of textures and finishes. Once papers are made in the first workshops, participants will explore mono and stencil printing on the third and fourth workshops to create a collection of unique, one-off papers.
These events are perfect for beginners looking to explore a new creative outlet or for seasoned crafters wanting to expand their skills. They are aimed at people over the age of 14 years.
Come join us for a few hours of creativity and relaxation as we dive into the world of paper-making. Sign up now and get ready to unleash your artistic side!
