Description

Both an ancient practice as well as a “hot trend,” mindfulness has been extensively studied and shown to have benefits ranging from decreased stress, anxiety and depression to increased working memory and immune functioning. If you have been curious what mindfulness is all about, or tried it but not sure you’re “getting it,” come to this interactive session where we’ll discuss as well as practice mindfulness techniques and provide support for continuing your practice at home.

This session will be led by Samantha White, Psy. D. from MSU Counseling and Psychological Services. Sam is a licensed psychologist who enjoys working with the MSU community. She has trained with the UCSD Center for Mindfulness and leads mindfulness groups as well as Mindful Eating workshops on campus.

Organized by

This workshop will be presented by Neal Andrews from MUS Wellness.  Neal holds a Master's Degree in Exercise Science from University of Arkansas and is a certified personal trainer and educator.
