We are offering 2 different Java courses.

Java for Beginning Students

Java for Advanced Students

Java for Beginning Students - Over the course of 9 Saturdays, students will learn fundamental computer science principles, create their own games, projects, animations and more. Each session is 105 minutes. (3rd - 8th grade students recommended)

Java for Advanced Students - Over the course of 9 Saturdays, students will learn Java from CollegeBoard AP approved and aligned curriculum. (9th - 12th grade students recommended)

Java for Beginning Students: Class Time - 10:00am - 11:45am

Location: 1450 Escuela Parkway (Milpitas) Room#3

Recommended Grade Levels: 3rd - 8th grade

Prerequisite Skills: None

Laptop Required: Recommended

Java for Advanced Students: Class Time - 12:00pm - 1:45pm

Location: 1450 Escuela Parkway (Milpitas) Room#3

Recommended Grade Levels: 9 - 12

Prerequisite Skills: Students are expected to have taken Algebra I or higher. Some computer literacy proficiency in typing, navigating the web and installing software). Students will work with the Eclipse IDE (Integrated Development Environment) for developing their Java code.

1. How long is each session and where is it held?

Each session is 105 minutes long, We ask that parents driop off and pick up their students promptly at the end of each session. These classes are for students only. This class will be held at 1450 Escuela Parkway Milpitas, CA. (Right next to Thomas Russelll Middle School)

2. What is your policy on refunds and cancellations? What if my child starts and does not like the course?

There is no cost for this class. 100% attendance is recommended.

3. Who are the instructors?

The instructors are college students and graduates that major in computer science, engineering, math, science, psychology, English etc. They are also part-time teachers and professionals who work in computer programming, design animation and technology industries.

4. How is the class divided?

Each class must have a minimum registration of 12 students and maximum of 25. In order to ensure all students have a positive experience, they well be divided into small collaboration groups (3 – 5 students) based on grade and ability.
