Intro to Horses Day Camp 2023!

Introduction to Horses Day Camp!

Please note this ticket is for a $150 non-refundable deposit for camp. The remainder of the payment will be due on the first day of camp!

For kids age 8 to 14! This camp is ideal for kids who don't have any horse experience and those that have only had horse experience in camp or trail rides. This camp is also good for students that have completed their Intro Program or are enrolled in the post- intro or novice EDP with us and are not old enough for Advanced Camp yet!

Enjoy a daily riding lesson a day along with other fun learning activities or outdoors activities!

 Lunch is included on the last day of camp, as we will have a camp fire lunch in the fire shack! Scheduled camp activities are from 9:00am to 4:00pm with supervision available from 8:00am-5:00pm.

Each day students will participate in a riding lesson, help get horses groomed and tacked up, help with barn chores, and do a craft(s), game and lunch in our air conditioned upstairs camp room. Outdoor activities weather permitting may include walks to the pasture and lawn games.

Cost is $92/day + GST or $460 + GST for a full 5 day week (note the week of Aug 8 to 11th is a 4 day week). Eventbrite fees are additional and do not apply towards the total cost of camp. Deposits are non-refundable and cannot be applied to another Sagehill service, but with at least 7 days notice we can move your ticket to an alternative week. All days of the week must be paid for regardless of absenteeism.

Note for students ages 11 to 16 with riding lesson experience, we have an advanced camp the week of July 31st 2023.

Weeks of: July 10th, 17th, 24th and August 8th (4 day week), 14th, 21st 2023

Early-bird discount of $5/day available if you register before April 1, 2023!

$5/day "Multiple-Week" Discount if you register for more than week (or more than one participant)

*Please note that Early-bird and Multiple-week discounts cannot be used together.* Discount will be taken off your final invoice due on or before the first day of camp.

• Daily Horseback Riding Lesson
• Stable Management
• Groundwork
• Horse Health & Welfare
• Horse Crafts  (i.e., making t-shirts & painting horse shoes & making posters)
• Fun Games and Outdoor activities

Students are required to come with bag lunch, water bottle, long pants for riding and closed toed boots with a 1/2 inch heel (preferably leather). We have helmets available or students can bring their own properly fitted equestrian helmet!
