Come learn about the basics of both types of financing and how they can help fund clean energy and climate work that benefits low-income and BIPOC communities.
Just Solutions Collective’s Senior Strategist Sylvia Chi will discuss the public banking movement in California, which in 2019 became the first state in the nation to legislate a licensing framework for local public banks.
Charlie Sciammas, Lead Community Organizer for PODER, will share his community’s vision for how a municipal public bank could help achieve environmental justice in San Francisco.
Eric Shrago, Vice President of Operations of the Connecticut Green Bank, will provide an overview of the nation’s first green bank and its work towards solar equity for low- and moderate-income communities.
