Description

This course is designed for EAST facilitators that want to learn enough about GIS to facilitate some quality projects. It is not designed for advanced users. Follow up sessions and more advanced sessions can be found here: https://cast.uark.edu/research/opengate.php.

Registrstion is a first come, first served for this training session. Completing this registration does not guarentee you a spot. You will receive an email confirming your registration or placement on the wait list.

These trainings are FREE. A limited number of spaces are availble at each location for Licensed K-12 educators. Lunch, light snacks, and bottled water are provided to all participants.

Participants will earn 6 PD hours in ADE FOCUS area 8.02.9 (Next generation learning/integrated technology) with a focus on applied geospatial technologies in the classroom to enhance curriculum content and reinforce student learning AND receive a $150 stipend!

Stipend eligibility: To be eligible to receive a stipend you must be able to attend all training during the times specified; be a licensed K-12 educator; complete all necessary paperwork by the deadline; and agree to complete and submit a post-workshop survey.
