Breathing is the simplest thing in the world. And yet because of stress, most of us are doing it inefficiently, which negatively impacts our bodies and minds.

Consciousness is the lens through which we experience all…and yet the overwhelming stress and busyness of modern life can cause that lens to contract and become clouded.

But instead of stressing out about it we invite you to join us for a fun and practical introductory workshop in which you’ll begin to explore how a simple approach to regulating the breath, and an effortless approach to untraining the mind can allow you to unwind the damage done by stress and the non-stop stimulation of our screen-driven society. So that you can breathe better, naturally, and improve the most important relationship in the world – the one with your own mind. So that you can enjoy the fullest, most open-hearted experience of life. The life you deserve to live.

This workshop is for both newbies and experienced practitioners. If you have an established meditation practice what you’ll learn with us will simply enhance your experience.With love, Anthea & James

What you’ll learn:

  • How stress impacts and impairs our breathing.
  • How to reconnect to your natural breath.
  • An introduction to Centered Breathwork exercises which will help you regulate the breath, making it longer and smoother, so that optimal function is restored not just in waking but when you’re asleep.
  • An introduction to effortless mindfulness, a radically simple but powerful approach of opening to the loving awareness that is already present, without you having to try so hard.
  • Practical exercises to unhook awareness from the ego and rest in the flow of the moment.
  • How to apply effortless mindfulness both in seated meditation and in day-to-day life.

About your teachers:

James Brown – As the host of this event, James’s “official” bio is down at the bottom of the page. But in addition to teaching Vedic Meditation, James has continued to explore other techniques and has found great joy in discovering Loch Kelly’s beautifully simple effortless mindfulness practices and is eager to share them with you.

Anthea Grimason - Gathering and sharing with like-minded souls that seek balance, vibrant health and meaning in life is Anthea’s greatest joy. Her studies and teachings focus on integrating the latest scientific research in health and wellness with the wisdom of ancient practices within Yoga and Ayurveda, to support how we handle modern day life. Anthea originates from Dublin, with a base in California and is a Director of Samahita Retreat in Thailand, where her journey to become a yoga teacher began. Samahita is a center that exists to transform lives through world-class expertise in yoga, meditation, health and fitness, a mission Anthea carries forward in everything she does.
