Description: A 2 hour class for 5 weeks, this will be an opportunity to break down photography to the basics. If you’ve ever wanted to move beyond point and shoot cameras and Iphones and understand the fundamentals of photography, this is your playground.

We’ve all got these fancy, complicated cameras but the fundamentals of photography hasn’t changed from the beginning. You will come to understand the “Holy Triangle” (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed) and how these 3 things interact with each other. You will learn how to use your camera to capture the images that you pre-visualize. There will be homework and interaction each week as we share our work with each other.

Digital Single Lens Camera preferred and access to simple editing program where you can do simple edits (cropping, toning, converting to black and white.

About the Instructor: Dave Dulaney has more than 30 years of experience in the fields of graphics, pre-press work and printing. After going back to school at Randolph Community College for Photographic Technology, he teaches digital photography and darkroom skills at The Sawtooth School of Visual Art in Winston-Salem, NC and continues to shoot black and white portrait photography.

Refund Policy:

Refunds will only be given prior to the registration deadline, or in the case that the class gets cancelled due to under-enrollment.
