Description

Program Overview:

Develop the skills needed to solve business problems using data. Master tools in statistical programming, data-driven analysis, and data visualization, and apply concepts by completing real case studies. This is an 8-week part-time course that meets on Tuesday/Thursday nights from 6-8pm and one Saturday per month from 10am-3pm.


Who You Are:

This workshop is for analysts, product managers, statisticians, business managers and anyone else who wants to build their Data Science skills. Further your technical skills in visualizing social, consumer, or popular trends. The only prerequisite is a desire to learn.

Week 1: Python Fundamentals: Data types and Functions
Week 2: Python Fundamentals continued: Classes; Scientific libraries
Week 3: SQL Fundamentals
Week 4: Statistical Concepts
Week 5: Data Visualization; Exploratory Data Analysis
Week 6: Linear and Logistic Regression
Week 7: Introduction to Decision Trees
Week 8: Introduction to Graphs & Networks; Social Network Analysis
